ABOUT ABOUT

Started by Venture for America fellows living and working in Philadelphia, the Intersect Philly speaker series aims to highlight two disparate, but meaningful, organizations in Philadelphia at each event.

This will be the second event in the speaker series, centered around engaging Philadelphians in the community. Our panel speakers will be:

  • Philadelphia Chinatown Development Corporation A grassroots, non-profit, community-based organization, whose mission is to preserve, protect, and promote Chinatown as a viable ethnic, residential, and business community.

  • Friends of the Rail ParkA nonprofit organization founded to advocate and develop a continuous three-mile linear park and recreation path in Philadelphia along the historic elevated Reading Viaduct and City Branch rail cut of the former Philadelphia and Reading Railroad.

Each speaker will have the chance to present their organization to the group before we open the conversation up to a moderated panel and Q&A.

The panel will be followed by a happy hour at Brick & Mortar, where drinks and snacks will be served!
